Stirling engine displacer build (8" × 6"), aluminum flashing
The question
Does the grooved-plate displacer actually assemble with off-the-shelf aluminum flashing?
The answer
Yes. Flashing cut to length by wrapping it around the model seats in the grooves and clamps tight with the rod and a wing nut.

What it is
First fit test of the displacer concept on a printed model while the CNC plates were in production (switched from metal printing after the supplier warned of warping).

Lab notes
Assembly
Seat the flashing in the bottom groove, thread the rod, then work the top plate down edge-first. Clamp pressure alone holds the sides; spot-welding with a battery tab welder is optional.
